A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

As an Account Executive / Outside Sales Representative, you are at the front lines of revenue generation so that we can continue serving our clients and providing for our employees. You generate new leads through cold calling, referrals, attending events, email campaigns, social campaigns, leads groups, networking, and nurturing relationships. As you listen to the needs of potential and current clients, you effectively explain how our services can satisfy those needs. Using your excellent communication skills, you skillfully overcome objections. You also make sure to stay current on services, pricing structures, company developments, and industry trends. Your mission is to win new accounts and drive our growth.


You love interacting with people and establish a rapport easily. Collaborating with other departments to move sales forward is second nature to you. You are enthusiastic and self-motivated. Though you love interacting with people, you are also organized and goal-oriented. Using your analytical side, you proactively forecast sales and carefully plan out your month, quarter, and year in order to regularly achieve individual and team goals. You report your key performance indicators (KPI) weekly. Using our customer relationship software (CRM), you keep track of all sales activity. Seeing your efforts pay off in your paycheck gives you a great sense of accomplishment.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE AN ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or marketing field plus 2 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of sales quota achievement must be demonstrated
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
  • Reliable transportation
  • Persuasive customer service skills

WORK SCHEDULE
